Combat Loneliness & Memory Loss for seniors: SWEE!-got-talent
About the campaign:
The future of aging well is a cause that will eventually reach all of us – our parents, our grandparents, and eventually, ourselves. In Singapore, dementia and loneliness are silent battles for many, dementia affects 1 in 11 seniors over 60, and a third of seniors report that they feel lonely. What if we could change that?
At Bless Community Services (BCS), we believe every senior deserves to age with dignity and joy. Your support for our programs helps seniors to combat loneliness, build friendships, and enhances their overall wellbeing.
Our impact report proves it: In our Chinese calligraphy class, 28.6% of participants reported memory improvement. One senior shared, “I can recall things better, like where I put my things and when to take my medication.” In our line dance classes, 100% of participants made new friends. As some shared, “We go for meals together after class,” and “The class becomes more fun and engaging with the friendships we form.” These numbers are a testament to the fact that your donation helps us provide more precious moments of clarity and connection for families.
You are not just supporting an activity; you are helping to keep a family together. Every gift brings us closer to creating a future where seniors thrive with purpose and friendship.
🙏 Will you help us give a senior the gift of belonging today? Thank you for believing in our work and in the potential of our seniors. Donations will be put in the General Fund and used accordingly at the discretion of the Board to serve the specified beneficiaries of BCS.
This campaign is held in conjunction with our SWEE!-got-talent showcase, where seniors showcase their creativity—through dance, calligraphy, photography, and other art forms—to raise awareness of homelessness.
Your donations are eligible for tax deduction.
