History and Milestones

Founded in 2008, Bless Community Services (BCS) is a voluntary welfare organization set up to support the well-being of children, youth, adults, elderly and families in the community.

• Received The President’s Certificate of Commendation (PCC) team award for “Contributions for Partners Engaging and Empowering Rough Sleepers (PEERS) Network and Safe Sound Sleeping Place (S3P)”
• June :
  Launch of SWEE Club for Seniors Connect
  Launch of GRIT Club for Youth Connect

• Received Star Partner Award (Public Sector Transformation Awards)
• July :
  Operated our 2nd S3P at Gospel Light Christian Church
  Operated our 3rd S3P at Inspire Community Services

• Received MSF Community Cares Award (Volunteer and Partners Award)

   

• August :
  Started Food Support Initiative

• February :
  Renewal of IPC status from 22 February 2020 to 21 February 2021
• October :
  Started the Neighbourhood Assistance Fund (NAF), an emergency/short term financial relief fund

• February:
  Launch of Bless Wellness Centre
  Obtained Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status on 22nd February
• March :
  Launch of active ageing programmes
• November :
  Operates S3P@YCKC (night shelter for homeless and rough sleepers)
• December :
  Gave out the first bursary award

• February :
  Formation of youth tchoukball team

• March :
  Start of Community Connect activities

• April :
  Commenced partnership with Saint Luke Eldercare (Serangoon)
• June :
  Registered as a society on 5th June
• December :
  Registered as a charity on 1st December

• Mar 2008 – Sep 2012:
  Partnered with Xinmin Secondary School to conducted after-school and developmental programmes, and management of Student Recreation Room
